An excellent day out for anyone interested in the country or in transport awaits the visitor to Beaulieu, the home of the National Motor Museum.
Located in the south of England, in the New Forest, it’s between Bournemouth and Southampton and accessed easily from the motorway network that leaves London and runs South. A map is provided on the website along with all the information necessary for whatever means of transport you use.
Before you start wondering, yes, it does have some 60s cars but it’s called Elvaston Castle Steam Rally and takes place at lovely Elvaston Castle in Derbyshire on the 2 and 3 of July 2011 so this a definite day for the diary.
Another steam railway day out and this time for our friends in the lovely North of England in County Durham at the Weardale Railway.
Running 10.5 miles from my favourite town, Sheringham on the North Norfolk coast, the ‘Poppy Line’ is a major Spring and Summer attraction that you just can’t afford to miss.

Buses are an important part of our heritage and, at some time or another, we have all used them so a visit to the Transport Museum in Birmingham can be a great and worthwhile day out.
Cars in the Park is a car event held at lovely Beacon Park, Lichfield, Staffs on Saturday and Sunday 2nd and 3rd of July 2011.
