Half way through the decade and still no win for the UK but we have had some near misses and, of course, some not so good results. Maybe 1965 will be our year?
Last year, 1964, a young girl from Italy won the contest and so this year’s contest was held at the Sala di Concerto della RAI in Naples, Italy. Presumably this is the concert hall of the Italian state broadcasting company Radio Audizioni Italiane (RAI). As usual the contest was held in March.
