Buses are an important part of our heritage and, at some time or another, we have all used them so a visit to the Transport Museum in Birmingham can be a great and worthwhile day out.
The good thing about buses is that because they are so important to the community they have been preserved and kept in good running order so many old buses are still roadworthy. And, believe me, a trip on an old 1960s or earlier bus is an experience that will bring back memories for many. Or, if you are not old enough to remember, they will remind you just how good and comfortable modern buses are!
It’s not too early to remind you about the fabulous day out at the Swinging Sixties event at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway in lovely heartbeat country.
I haven’t been to a car auction for many years but I can’t deny that it’s a good day-out and I have some happy memories of days spent watching cars being sold out in the sunshine.
