The 60s was a time of great change in fashion where styles would come and go in a matter of years, rather than decades as had been the case before.
It was also a period that, perhaps because it was so short, is not well documented and so I have tried to produce a series of interesting and informative short articles on the fashion statements and trends in the 60s decade.
It really was a time of experimentation, revolution and adaptation and it’s both important, instructive and interesting to look at the fashions that were tried and see how they reflect and foreshadow the fashions of today. They say that there is nothing new under the sun, but perhaps 60s fashion proves that, to every rule, there are exceptions.
