Around the middle of the 1950s, shoes for women with high, thin heels – called stiletto heels after the Italian slim but deadly stiletto dagger – became fashionable.
It’s so sad what happened to Marc Bolan. Born in 1947 in London as Mark Feld he was exposed to all the rock and roll emerging in 50s Britain and determined to make music his career.
